Patricia Ann Gabriel (Loats)

Patricia Ann "Pat" (Loats) Gabriel, 76 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on May 24, 2020. Pat was born on March 27, 1944 in Baltimore, MD. She graduated from Newberry College in 1966 with a Bachelor of Art Degree. She continued her education at Indiana University where she received a Master of Social Work Degree in 1969. She retired form North Central Mental Health after many years of service. Pat loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed playing cards, especially Hand and Foot, and scrapbooking/crafts.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edmund "Dick" Gabriel, her parents, Fredrick Loats, Glenice (Graf) Jubb, Elmer Jubb, her in laws Edmund and Nella (Dickinson) Gabriel, brother-in-law James Gabriel, sister-in-law, Ruth Jane Jubb.

Surviving family includes her son, Ryan Gabriel; daughter Erin Gabriel; sisters Kim (Chuck) Cramer, Kelly (Larry) Scheiderer; brothers, Charles (Diane) Jubb, Kenneth (Betty) Jubb; sister-in-law Jan Gabriel, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on June 20, 2020 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road Columbus, Ohio 43229. The family will welcome guest starting at 1:30pm with the service starting at 2:00pm.. Guests are asked to wear a mask (one will be provided if you don't have one). As an alternative for those who cannot attend the service in person, the service will be streamed on Facebook Live or may be viewed as an uploaded YouTube video at a later time.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made in her memory to Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, or to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
