On Tuesday, January 6, 2026; in the comfort of her home, with her family by her side, Patricia Ann Turner closed her eyes and entered eternal rest; freeing herself from all suffering and pain.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 11, 1944 to the late James and Francita Taylor. She was raised in Urbancrest, Ohio and attended Grove City High School.
Patty married Ronald Coleman Turner and from this union, was blessed with six children: Sherry, Ralph, James, Rocita, Anita and Olivia.
Patty was a spirited, funny, loving, and kind woman who had a remarkable gift for making people feel like family. She always told people “I love you” even strangers that she may only meet one time. She was affectionately known to many as “Mom Patty”. She joyfully claimed many as her own and cherished the connections she formed throughout her life.
Patty loved shopping trips, eating out, sweets, sewing, and working in her flower gardens. She is also known for her creative storytelling, which she often invented on the spot.
She was known for her beautiful smile and infectious laugh and will forever be remembered as a sweet ray of sunshine.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents; James and Francita Taylor, husband, Ronald Turner; brothers, James, Walter, and Hollice Taylor; sister, Katherine Evans. She was also preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Jeffrey Lamont Allen Turner.
Patricia leaves behind to cherish her memory; daughters Sherry (Gregory) Combs, Rocita (Ronald) Evans, Anita Turner (Tony Allen), and Olivia Turner; sons Ralph (Misty) Turner, and James (Erin) Turner; three grandchildren raised by grandma patty; Aaliyah Mohamed, Jamari Turner, and Lizzy Turner. best friend, sister-in-law and niece Joyce Taylor; sister-in-law Olivia Taylor; lifelong friend Gloria Hitchens. She will also be deeply missed by fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; also last but not least her beloved golden retriever SPARKY!
Family will welcome friends and loved ones on Friday January 23, 2026 from 11:30am-12:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. A funeral service will begin at 12:30pm, followed by interment at Green Lawn Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.
