Patricia Kay VanHorn

It is with deep sorrow and abounding love that we announce the passing of Patrica Kay VanHorn (Maciboba) at age 66. She passed away on 9/24/2025 at Doctor's West Hospital in Columbus Ohio, due to complications from recent open-heart surgery. Beloved fiancé, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Patty will be remembered by the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law Angela and Shawn Hall and their son Gavin Darden. Mike Myers fiancé that she shared her home and heart with for many years. Sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Aldino Stazzone and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Julia Jackson (Maciboba), stepfather George Jackson and her older sister Linda Young.

Patty was devoted to caring for her family. She said to do so was a privilege she enjoyed not an obligation. Holidays were her favorite time, and she always made each one special with decorations and scrumptious food. She loved flowers and never missed picking them out on Mother's Day. Patty’s gift from God, was the ability to make everyone feel special and loved. She listened with her heart. While small in stature she was mighty in character. Never complaining but instead grateful for her many blessings in life. She believed in living life to its fullest and led by example. Her courage and strength inspired us all. Her faith in the lord and belief in the goodness of mankind never wavered. Her wish was not to mourn her passing but to celebrate her life. Her heart knew no bounds, and she is soaring in heaven now.
