Patricia Ann Wilson

Patricia Ann Wilson was born on October 6, 1935, in Bluefield, West Virginia. She passed away on April 27, 2026, in Grove City, Ohio. Patricia lived a life full of care and dedication to those around her.

Throughout her working years, Patricia held several jobs. She worked as a bank teller and spent time working in the produce and bakery departments at Big Bear and Publix. Despite her work outside the home, she was most proud of being a stay-at-home mother. She dedicated herself to providing for her family and creating a loving environment.

Patricia was known for being selfless and compassionate. She cared deeply about others, always ready to give cooking, cleaning, and gardening tips to friends and family. Cooking was one of her favorite activities, and she enjoyed sharing her knowledge with those around her. In her free time, Patricia loved reading and had a keen interest in learning about other cultures. When she was younger, she enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts, embracing the joy these experiences brought her.

Patricia was survived by her sons, Robert A. Wilson and David T. Wilson, and her sister, Veda Nobel. She was also loved by several nieces and nephews who remember her kindness and warmth. Patricia joined her parents, Ervin James Wakeland and Juanita Frances (Milam) Wakeland, in passing, as well as her husband, Robert B. Wilson, affectionately known as Bob. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Ervin James Wakeland, Jr. "Bud", Robert S. Wakeland "Bobby", David M. Wakeland, and George T. Wakeland "Tommy", along with her sister Irene Steele.

Patricia Ann Wilson touched many lives with her generous spirit and gentle nature. She will be remembered for her love of family, her helpfulness, and the quiet strength she showed throughout her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A gathering to celebrate both Patricia and her husband, Bob who passed in September of 2023 will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 6pm until the time of Memorial Service at 7pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.  

At a later date, Patricia and Robert will be laid to rest together at Grove City Cemetery (New section).
