In loving memory of a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Born in Lima, Ohio on November 21, 1963 to Thomas and Delores Staup (both deceased), passed away after an extended illness, September 12, 2017 with her husband at her side.
Patty was as blunt as she was beautiful. The first person to offer you advice and a warm cup of coffee. Mother to many stray people and animals, always trying to give them another chance at life. She was a stubborn individual, never letting anyone tell her what she could or couldn't do. She would bring a knife to a gun fight and win.
Patty was a graduate of Perry High School, Class of 1982 and was employed as a Corrections Officer at Pickaway Correctional Institution.
Patty is survived by her husband, Carl Douglas Brigner; son, Zach (Jana) Young; daughter, Alayna (Nate) Young; daughter, Jessie (Greg) Sorrell; son, Jake Brigner; sister, Diane (Kent) Kahn; brother, Tommy Staup; grandchildren, Aleister, Evalynn, Rilen, Layne; nieces, Jamie Collins, Lindsay Kahn-Vargo, Shallene Staup, Melinda Staup, Natasha Staup; also survived by many extended family members.
Keeping with Patty's request, there will be no visitation or memorial service.
Any donations to Rheumatoid Arthritis research or to your local animal shelter would be welcome in lieu of flowers or gifts.
