Patrick Maynard Collins

Patrick Maynard Collins, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 60. He was born on April 20, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio.

Patrick will be remembered as a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the time he spent with the people he loved. A graduate of Brookhaven High School, he carried with him a love of connection, fun, and fellowship throughout his life. Patrick worked at DFAS for 32 years. He enjoyed playing softball, golf, cornhole, darts, camping, fishing, and many other pastimes that brought laughter, companionship, and lasting memories to those around him.

Above all, Patrick’s life was rooted in family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shonna Collins. He also leaves behind his daughter, Alicia Furr, and Alicia’s husband, Joshua, along with their children, Eloise, Grayson, and Ethan Furr. He is also survived by his sons, Tristan Woodruff and Layne Woodruff. Patrick is further survived by his mother, Hazelene Harrison; and his sister, Billie Jean (Michael) Rucker.

Patrick was preceded in death by his father Billy Lon Collins.

His grandchildren, Eloise, Grayson, and Ethan, were a treasured part of his family circle, and his memory will continue to live on through the many moments shared across generations. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and lovingly remembered for the warmth, enjoyment, and togetherness he brought into their lives.

Friends may call at Liberty Baptist Church, 1552 Elmore Ave., Columbus, OH 43224 on October 24, 2026 from 1:00pm until time of memorial service at 2:30pm with Pastors David Mason and Bobby Ringle officiating.
