Paul Dixon, 91 of Columbus, passed away at Monterey Care Center on March 30, 2015. Born on February 28, 1924 to the late Manford and Laura (May) Dixon in Floyd County, KY. Paul served his country with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a Union Officer, Deacon at Southwest Freewill Baptist. Survived by wife of 67 years Violet (Horne) Dixon, son Danny (Verda) Dixon, grandchildren Tina and Bill Smith, Danielle Williamson, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter Sandra Tompkins, brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5pm until time of service at 7pm with Pastor John Meade officiating.
