Paul Downs 82 of Orient, passed on May 22, 2015. He was born Feb. 17, 1933 in Orient to John and Gladys (Willoughby) Downs who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by brothers Bill Downs and Bob Downs; sister Mary Lou Schaffner; grand-daughter Sheri Lynn Downs. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, June Stevens Downs; 2 sons Bryan (Penny) Downs, and Doug Downs; Daughter Pam (Kevin) Hill; Sister Anna Mae (John) Conroy; 4 grandchildren Jessica (Sean) Evans, Justin Blankenship, Kay-Lee, and Moriah Downs; 2 great-grandchildren Madison and Ryan Evans; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was a long time Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and an avid gardener.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8PM Wednesday May 27 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW, 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123. A funeral service will be held 1PM Thursday May 28 at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Pleasant Cemetery with Military Graveside Services.
