Paul Joseph Ryan, 72, of Columbus, passed away May 8, 2008 in Graz, Austria. He was born February 7, 1936, in Turtlepoint, Pa., son of the late Earl Patrick and Bertha Pauline Safford Ryan. Paul served and retired from the Army after twenty years of service. He is survived by his wife, Justina Rath Ryan; son, Alex (Chris) Ryan; brothers, Kenneth, Dean, Terry and Rex; sister, Penny Jo; grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer and Paul. Visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2008 from 6:00- 7:00 PM with the memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus.
