Paul A. McClure "PAG"

Paul A. McClure, known affectionately as "PAG," passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on February 15, 1948, in New Albany, Indiana, Paul was the son of the late Paul and Edith McClure. He spent his life dedicated to his family and his work.

Paul is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Joyce, who stood by his side through every season of life. He is also survived by his children, Robert (Jennifer) McClure and Dawn (Kenneth) Sexton, each of whom he adored beyond words. His legacy continues with his beloved grandchildren: Hailey, Christopher, Audrey, and Joseph, along with his great-grandchildren, Xavier, Peyton, Zane, and Ariella, who brought immense joy to his life. He leaves behind a sister, Cathy, and John Marsh, who was like a brother to him, who holds countless memories of their shared childhood.

Throughout his life, Paul exhibited a profound commitment to service. He proudly served as a Vietnam Veteran, a chapter of his life that shaped who he was. After his military service, he dedicated himself to the Railroad, beginning his career in 1970 and continuing until 2008. His role as a Union President was a source of pride for him, as he advocated for the rights and welfare of his fellow workers.

Paul's love for nature was evident in the way he cared for his surroundings; anyone who visited could easily see that his lawn was his pride and joy. He found great contentment in mowing the grass, a simple pleasure that brought him peace and satisfaction.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his best friend, Charlie Sneed, who remains in the hearts of those that knew them together. Paul leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support that will resonate with his loved ones for years to come.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted starting at 1:00 PM, allowing friends and family to gather and celebrate the life of a truly remarkable man.

Paul A. McClure "PAG" will be deeply missed and fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a steadfast friend. His spirit will live on in the lives he touched and the memories he created.
