Paul Larry Sprankle

Paul L. Sprankle, 79, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September, 07, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Paul was born on August 12, 1947, in East Canton, Ohio, to Harry and Beulah Sprankle. He spent his childhood on the family farm, nurturing a lifelong passion for agriculture that shaped his career and values.

On August 10, 1974, Paul married Marie Wyse, beginning a remarkable 52-year partnership rooted in love and shared faith. He was a devoted father who made every effort to attend his three sons' activities. He also cherished the moments he spent with his four grandchildren.

Paul graduated from The Ohio State University in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in agriculture and later earned his master's and Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 1974. He devoted 28 years to agricultural product development at Monsanto, where his dedication and expertise left a lasting impact.

Beyond his professional achievements, Paul lived a life of service and faith. As a devoted member of Central College Presbyterian Church, he served as a Deacon, Elder, and food pantry volunteer. Together with his beloved wife, Marie, he became the director of the church's food pantry, expanding its capacity to feed 45 families weekly. Paul's tireless efforts to increase food pickups from local stores and restaurants exemplified his deep compassion and commitment to helping others.

Paul's legacy of service is carried on by his family. He is survived by his wife, Marie; his three sons, Scott (April), Greg (Carla), and Doug (Leah); his four grandchildren, Nolan, Aurora, Ellie, and Mila; and his sisters, Lois Fohl and Naomi Stuckey. He is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Beulah Sprankle; his brother, Floyd Sprankle; and his sister, Irene Ashbaugh.

Paul's life will be honored with a celebration of life to be held at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 South Sunbury Road, Westerville, OH 43081 on Saturday October 3rd, 2026 at 2:30pm. The celebration will be held in the sanctuary followed by lunch in Ballard Hall.
