Peggy Lynn Watson-Shiflett (Brooks), age 60, of Pickerington, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at OSU Medical Center surrounded by family.
She was born September 29, 1956, in Chillicothe, Ohio. Peggy worked as an accountant at DFAS for 21 years where she had countless friends before she retired on August 9, 2013. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, gardening, making people laugh, and spending time with her friends, family and children.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Watson; mother, Shirley Brooks; granddaughter, Chloe Ann.
Peggy is survived by her father, David (Rebecca) Brooks; mother-in-law, Ruth Watson; husband, Vernon Shiflett; two daughters, Ashley and Whitney Watson; two step-daughters, McKenzie and Morgan Shiflett; three grandchildren, Abree and Sophia Montoney, Josie Gruesen; three brothers, Mike (Jamie) Brooks, Steve (Lori) Brooks, Kenny (Julie) Brooks. At the families request, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Peggy's memory can be made to Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center, 4340 Tamarack Blvd., Columbus, OH 43229.
