Petra Taruc Reyes, 97, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 in Westerville, Ohio. Petra was born on September 17, 1920 in Pampanga, Phillipines to Mateo Taruc and Christina Santos Taruc.
Petra is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Reyes; daughter, Remedios Reyes; parents; five brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her children, Artemio (Evelyn) Reyes, Rey (Linda) Reyes, Isabelita (Willy) Agusto, Cora (Alex) Dugang , Carolina (Sonny) Tobias and Gigi Carroll; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Joel and Jansen Reyes, Catherine (Emmanuel) Nazal, Bernadette, May and Jay Jay Agusto, Cherry and Dean Tobias; great-granddaughter, Elina Nazal.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 4:00 pm also at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel. She will be laid to rest in the Philippines.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Petra's honor to the family.
