Phyllis Anneburke Gunnell

Phyllis Anne Burke Gunnell, of Groveport, OH, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 in Lancaster, OH. She was born on June 16, 1932 in Paintsville, KY to the late Den and Ella (Travis) Burke.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert Gunnell; and brother, Jack Douglas Burke.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Duffey, Jan Mathews, Lynne (Dan) Cooper, Dennis Gunnell, and Doug (Lisa) Gunnell; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Juda Burke, Audrey Gunnell, Margie Gunnell, Ann Gunnell, and Martella Gunnell; nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Phyllis retired from Schottensteins in Columbus, OH after 15 years of service. Phyllis loved her family very much, especially the babies. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 1:00pm also at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, OH 43130 in Phyllis' honor.
