Priscilla Kaye Pleasant was born February 22, 1961, to Mary Susan Pleasant and Curtis Leftwich in Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by father, Curtis Leftwich, and sister, Deborah Pleasant.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Mary Pleasant; son, Jeremiah Daquan Pleasant; sisters, Ewann (Clay), Letitia (Tish), Patricia, Sheila Pleasant and Teresa Leftwich; brothers, Keith Pleasant Sr., Gerald Brown, Richard, Curtis Jr., Anthony and David Leftwich; the love of her life her only grandson, Jeremiah Ryan Pleasant; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends, specifically Teresa Carter, Debbie Potter, Gerand Hampton, and Gail Allen.
Priscilla Kay—affectionately called “Prissy Kay” by those who knew and loved her—lived her life with strength, grace, and resilience. She experienced many ups and downs, trials, and tribulations, yet she always managed to keep a smile on her face through it all. She attended Columbus Public Schools and later earned her GED. She went on to receive her cosmetology license in 2002.
In 1985, she was baptized at Prince of Peace Church of God under the leadership of Rev. Willie Brown. Later in life, she rededicated her life to Christ at Second Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Christopher Bond.
Toward the end of her life, a faithful friend, Vanessa Cannon, lovingly looked out for her and informed the family of her whereabouts to keep the family abreast. If you couldn’t reach her, it was likely because she wasn’t keeping up with her cell phone, but her love for family and friends was constant.
Priscilla had a passion for cooking. She loved to shop and made sure that anyone around her was well-fed. She enjoyed playing bid whist and was known for talking plenty of “trash” during a good game. She was truly a people person and never let the grass grow under her feet.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 9am until the time of service at 10am at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus.
So as we say our goodbyes, just know she loved us all. Her life reflects the words of scripture:
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”. 2 Timothy 4:7
