Rachel Elizabeth Wade

Rachel Elizabeth Wade (Work) of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home on August 17, 2026 at 80 years old.

Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Wade. She leaves behind her daughter, Heather (Chris) Tracy, five grandchildren, Courtney (Clayton), Kayla, Katie, Nick, Nathan (Claire) and great-grandson Walker.

Rachel was a funny, strong-willed, and wonderfully stubborn woman who lived life on her own terms. She loved playing cards, sharing stories over margaritas, and keeping an eye on her beloved porch cat. She had a way of bringing laughter to those around her and making memories that her family will treasure forever.

Although she will be deeply missed, Rachel’s family finds comfort knowing that she was surrounded by her loved ones, at home. They hope those who knew and loved her will remember her with a smile, a good laugh, and perhaps a game of cards in her honor.
