Ralph David Poare

Ralph David Poare of Grove City, Ohio, 88 years old, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026 at 8:15am peacefully at home with family by his side. Ralph was born in Fraziers Bottom, WV on Wednesday, October 13, 1937 to the late David and Grace Poare. Ralph married Hattie-Gail in October of 1967. They were blessed with three children and opened a family glass company named Poor Boy Glass. Ralph Poare was the owner, founder, and CEO of the company for 52 years.

Ralph is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Hattie-Gail Poare; his sons, Matthew Poare and Mark Poare Sr.; his mother, Grace; father, David, and Step-Father, Harry. He is also preceded in death by brothers, Arnold, Orrville, Raymond, and Monroe; and sister, Nina.

Ralph Poare is survived by his daughter, Debby and Roger Sherman, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Denyle, Phoenix, Austin, Pearlie, Andrew, Rachel, Preston, Miranda, Makayla, Mark Jr., Isaac, Gabriel, Clayton, Joshua, Charlie, Angel, Chole, Nora, Lyle, Able, Kenna, Braxton, Nevaeh, Wyatt, Parker, Tanner, Everleigh, Michele, Kayla; one sister, Martha, one brother, Art; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Ralph Poare was one of the greatest men on this earth. Those that knew him loved him. He was a blessing to many and to the community around him. He will be greatly missed, though he may be gone, he will never be forgotten.

Visitation Thursday, May 28, 2026 from 10am until the time of Funeral Service at 12pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Obetz Cemetery.
