"Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" 🙏

Ratna Sharma May 7,1951 — May 22, 2026

With hearts full of love and eyes full of tears, we share the peaceful passing of our beloved Mummy, Ratna Sharma, on May 22, 2026, at OSU University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was 75 years old.

Born and raised in the golden city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, Mummy devoted her life to her family with grace, strength and unconditional love. As a homemaker, she was the quiet heartbeat of her home — simple in her ways, pure in her heart and boundless in her kindness. She ensured her daughters were educated and her family was always loved and cared for.

Mummy's kitchen was a place of magic — her legendary halwa, laddo and traditional Rajasthani cooking will forever be the taste of home for her children and grandchildren.

Her soul was deeply devoted to Shri Radha Gopal Ji Maharaj, her Supreme God, whom she worshipped every single day of her life. Her beloved mantra — "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" — never left her lips.

In a divine blessing, she departed during Purshottam Maas — the holiest month in the Hindu calendar, believed to be the most auspicious time for the soul's journey home.

Her final moments were peaceful and sacred — her devoted son Sonu (Pete) by her side, the Bhagavad Gita and her cherished mantra filling the room. She left this world exactly as she lived — in devotion, dignity and divine grace.

She is lovingly survived by:

  • Shubha Sharma, married to Brigadier Manish Sharma of the Indian Army, and their daughter Mohisha Sharma
  • Mohita (Montoo) Sharma, married to Ravindra Kumar, and their son Ridhaan Kumar
  • Neetu Sharma, married to Group Captain T.L. Prasanth of the Indian Air Force, and their daughters Raina and Renie
  • Sonu (Pete) Sharma, her devoted son

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly six decades, Shri Kailash Chandra Sharma, who passed just 38 days before her on April 14, 2026.

Together in life. Together in eternity. 🙏

A cremation ceremony will be livestreamed for family and friends. See link below.

"She lived simply. She loved deeply. She prayed faithfully. And she departed divinely."

We love you Mummy. Forever in our hearts. 🙏
