Raymond Earl Baker III

Raymond Earl Baker III, 78, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, after a brief illness.

Born on February 25, 1948, Ray was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Earl Baker II; his mother, Helen (Royce) Scott; his stepfather, Fred Scott; and his sister, Barbara Baker.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Cheryl; his children, Sherri (Scott) Perry, Raymond E. (Michelle) Baker IV, and Amy (Shawn) Schuh; his grandchildren, Ashley Perry, Amanda Perry, Brandon (Alix) Baker, Garrett Baker, Brittany (Tim) Mettille, Tatum Schuh, and Canon Schuh; his great-granddaughter, Shay; his brothers, Jeff (Theresa) Baker and Mike (Ruth) Baker; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Ray was an entrepreneur who was always thinking, building, and working. He enjoyed road trips, spending time at the lake with family and friends, listening to music, and had a love for animals, especially his dog, Trixie. He never met a stranger and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor.

Ray had a big presence wherever he went and will be remembered for his hardworking nature. He will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A memorial service is being planned. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been finalized.
