Raymond Earl Smith, 80, of Westerville, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at his residence.
He was born June 4, 1936 in Columbus, son of the late Raymond and Mary Mehring Smith.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his sons, Thomas and Gerald Smith; sister, Barbara Pearson.
He worked for General Motors and Columbus Wallmaster for several years.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marcella Salyers Smith; son, Michael (Patricia) Smith; brothers, Roger (Linda) Smith and Floyd Smith; sisters, Alberta Smith, Carol Litman and Gloria McGraw; grandchildren, Sean, Dylan, Kyle, Jalyn and Eric Smith; great grandchildren, Preston, Jaden and Ayame Smith.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 5900 Wilcox Pl. Dublin, OH 43016.
