Reverend Eugene A. Wooden, 93, Columbus, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016. Eugene was born in Autryville, Georgia (near: Macon, GA) on December 14, 1922, to Abe and Cottie (Petersen) Wooden and is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carrie (Wilks) Wooden; sons, Eugene Wooden Jr. and Joseph Wooden; daughters, Donna Littlefield and Elizabeth Hairston. Eugene was also preceded in death by siblings, Isabel, George Albert; William K; Clyde; Samuel; Hosea, Joseph; Agnes, and John Wesley.
He is survived by his daughter, Marcella (Sam) Mitchell; son, John (Ronda) Wooden and special nephew Hosea (Edith) Wooden; host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and special grandson, Robert (Tameka) Hairston.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, 1-3 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
