Rhodia M. Washington, 77 of Granville, OH and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Rhodia was born in Heidelberg, MS on January 31, 1937 to James and Marthenia (Samson) Arrington and is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eva Graves; brothers, George, Richard and Edward Arrington.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin Washington, Sr; children, Alvin (Tami) Washington, Jannetta (Jean) Guinhouya, Calvin (Tina) Washington, Mary Washington, Monica Washington; sister, Mary Arrington; grandchildren, Jenifer Wolford, Alvin A. Washington, Calvin Washington III, Kristopher Washington, Alexander Washington, Isaiah Washington; great-grandchildren, Dorian Washington and Ella Wolford; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, October 23, 2014, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014, 10:00 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 785 Newark Granville Road, Granville, OH 43023. Monsignor Paul Enke will officiate.
