Richard "Mick" Barton passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Dayton VA Medical Center following a lengthy illness of Parkinson 's disease and Dementia. He was the youngest of 14 children born to Elmer "Ike" and Bertha B. (Forrest) Barton in Fayette County on September 23, 1935.
He lived outside of Harrisburg with his wife of 13 years, Garnet (Lee). He had 3 children from a previous marriage including Richard G. Barton (Cathy Welch), Rhonda Barton (Jon Goodpastor) and Robin G. Barton; One granddaughter, Lindsey Barton (BJ Van Dyke) and great-grandson, Bryson; two step sons, Rob Earles II (Angela Cook), Dillion (Bridgette Cain) Earles; grandchildren, Robbie Earles III, Madison Minier, Cheyanne Eckoff, Paige Kirk, Jacob Evans, Wes and Luke Earles; sisters, Doris (Dick) Doran, Norma Streator; brothers, Bob (Norma) Barton and Jim (Mary Ann) Barton.
Memorial donations may be made in Richard's name to National Parkinson Foundation Central and S.E. Ohio Chapter, 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr. Suite 265, Columbus, OH 43231.
There will be no service per his request. A memorial service will beheld at Bob Barton JR's home at 3:00 PM in West Jefferson on Sunday July 29, 2012.
