Richard D. Brittain

Richard D. Brittain, 79, of Powell, OH, passed away on May 28, 2026. He was born on October 2, 1946 in Columbia City, IN.

He was a 1968 graduate of Ball State University with a degree in business. He worked and retired as a credit manager for his career with Owens Corning Fiberglass. Richard volunteered for many years with Meals on Wheels. Richard was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed gardening and traveling to Florida during wintertime. He had a generous heart always supporting Make a Wish Foundation, St. Jude and helping family members. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Velma Brittain, brother, Robert Brittain.

Surviving family includes loving wife, Anna, nephews, Luca, Daniele, niece, Simona, brother-in-law, Tony Capuano and cousins, Carol (Dave) Gibson and their children Angela and Brad.

Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH, with a Rosary to begin at 6:45pm.

A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 11am at St. Joan of Arc Campus, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, OH.

Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH. 

Luncheon to follow the entombment in the social hall at St. Joan of Arc Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made for Masses for the repose of the soul of Richard Brittain to the attention of Anna, and send to St. Joan of Arc, 10700 Liberty Road, Powell, OH 43065.
