Richard E. Burton, 71, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Richard was born on May 29, 1942, in Columbus, OH to Donald and Marie (Brandum) Burton and is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donny Burton; former wife, Brenda Burton.
Survivors include his daughter, Julia (David) Weaver; son, Rick Burton; grandchildren, Marie (Sean) Barker, Christie Weaver, Brandy Weaver, Destiney Burton and Mason Burton; great-grandchildren, Grace, Shane and Bryce Barker, Ryleigh and Cason Swint and Jayden and Bear; special cousin, Teri Hill; nieces and many friends.
Richard was a loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, January 8, 2014, 4-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM.
