Richard Fagan

Richard "Dick" Fagan, age 83, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016. He was born in Columbus on July 27, 1933 to the late Henry and Mary Francis Fagan. He graduated from St. Charles and attended The Ohio State University.

After serving our country in the U.S. Army, Dick became a well known and respected real estate professional and business owner for over 50 years. Many of his accomplishments include, Past President of the Columbus Board of Realtors, Past President of the Ohio Association of Realtors, Past President of the Hilltop Business Association and MC of many Hilltop Bean Dinners. He was an avid handball player winning city and state championships. Dick loved his grandchildren and was supportive of their many activities.

Dick is preceded in death by his son, Marc and brother, Thomas. He is survived, by his loving wife of 62 years, Janice (Buckingham) Fagan; children, Theresa (David) Fagan Smith, Brian (Sandi) Fagan; grandchildren, Andrea (Mike) Messer, Zachary (Bridget) Fagan, Chad (Cheyenne) Smith, Kellee (Robbie) Thomas and Cory Smith; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Andrew, Tyler, Riley, Max, Kaylee, Keelee and Presley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tarek Chidiac and staff.

Family will receive friends from 1-3pm and 5-8pm, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home S.W., 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. In lieu of flowers donations in Dick's memory may be made to Tridia Hospice, 2215 Citygate Dr., Suite E., Columbus, OH 43219.
