Richard Allen Gleason, 64, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 in Columbus, OH. He was born on December 18, 1952 in Huntington, WV to Edward and Mayetta Gleason.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Williams; and brothers, Wilbur, Timmy and Dennis Gleason.
He is survived by wife of 41 years, Sharyn Gleason; children, Charles Gleason, Richard Gleason Jr., Rosandra (Joshua) Cahill, Daniel Gleason and John (Ashley) Carpenter; grandchildren, Nathan, Destiny and Donovan Cahill and Jovan Carpenter; sister, Katherine Harmon; brothers, Jimmy and Mickey Gleason; and special friend, Bill Carpenter.
Richard loved his family and friends very much and was "the love of Sharyn's life". He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00am also at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Northlawn Memory Gardens.
