Richard A. Jennings Sr.

Richard A. "Rick" Jennings Sr., 57, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday August 20th, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Joyce Jennings.

Surviving family includes his 4 children Richard Jennings Jr., Taylor Jennings (Kolin), Brandon Jennings (Katelyn), and Angela Jennings (Chase). He had 5 grandchildren Kynzi, Kayson, Weston, Wesley, Kason, and 1 grandson on the way.

Rick was a loving father and papaw. He was a truck driver for Sygma for 13 years then retired in 2013. Rick loved to go camping, hiking, fishing, and also he loved going to the Columbus Blue Jackets games. Rick enjoy spending time with his family most of all.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 7:30pm on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Homes - Southwest Chapel (3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123). A prayer service will immediately follow at 7:30 in the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Cummings officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital (460 W. 10th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210).
