Richard Moore

Richard (Dick) Hayes Moore, 90, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2017 at Sunrise Senior Living of Dublin in Columbus, Ohio.
He is survived by his twin children, Douglas Bryan (Betsy) Moore and Deborah Lynn (George) Bartley, five grandchildren, two great granddaughters, nephews Jon Eric (Lori) Moore and Christopher Hyde Moore, and step-children Ronald (Sheila) Smith, Kent Smith and Becky (Smith) Sanders.
Mr. Moore was born on August 8, 1926 in Jackson, Ohio to Hayes and Blodwen (Jones) Moore.
He grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio and attended Ohio State University where he earned a B.S. in chemical engineering.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Marine Corps reserve as a radio technician.
He spent his career at DuPont in Circleville, Ohio as a chemical engineer and customer service representative.
Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, and classical music.
He was seldom without a beloved German Shepard by his side.
Mr. Moore was predeceased by wives Jacquetta Fredonia Moore and Evelyn Sutton Moore, and brothers Donald Alan Moore and Phillip Jones Moore.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd Columbus.
