Richard L. "Dick" Parr, 86, of Westerville, passed away February 7, 2020.
Dick was born December 7, 1933 to John D. and Tessa (Hegenderfer) Parr. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Dick was a member of the former Christ the King Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Dick will be deeply missed by his wife of 61 and a half years Ruth (Spillman); children Janet (Ben) Sutter, Nichole (Rusty) Blackburn; grandchildren Amanda, Christopher (Kim) and Nathan (Andrea) Sutter, Tiffany (Bobby) Fairbanks ; great-grandchildren Destiny, Alyssa Blackburn, Elaina, Joey, Lilly, Andy, Sophie, Will Sutter, Annabelle, Paisley Fairbanks, special family member Kim (mother of Nichole), along with many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, son Doug Parr, brother's John Lee, Robert, James.
Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2020 from 10am to 12pm with a funeral service to follow at 12pm at Newcomer NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus.
Burial will be at Blendon Central Cemetery, where military rites will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist them during this time.
