Richard "Rick" L. Schobelock, age 69, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Kobacker House.
Richard was born in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late James and Cora Schobelock on December 6, 1947. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Angela, and brothers, Jon and Clifford Schobelock.
Richard is survived by his wife, Joyce "Madden" Schobelock; sons, Jason (Beth Ann) Schobelock, Jeremy (Holley) Schobelock, and Jonathon (Sue Ellen) Schobelock; step-sons, Tim (Kaye) Peters, and Todd (Heidi) Peters; 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Donna) and Randy (Vicki); sisters, Patty, Karen, Jennifer (Mike), Judy (Bobby), and Pam (Marvin); sister-in-law, Carla Thompson,; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Monday, February 20, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, S.W., 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123, where the service will be held at following at 7:00pm.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Grant Hospital and to the staff at Kobacker House for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in his memory to the OhioHealth Foundation, Floor 31, 180 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215-9519.
