Richard V. Filippi
November 23, 1931 — November 30, 2015
Richard V. "Dick" Filippi, 84, of Grove City, succumbed to the terrible disease of Alzheimer's on November 30, 2015. He has joined parents, Enrico and Irene; sister, Delores and brother, Henry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Helga; daughter, Vicki (Frank) McNeal of Grove City; grandchildren, Jason (Jill) McNeal, Jennifer (Joe) Horvath; great-grandchildren, Dante McNeal, Cecilia and Charlotte Horvath; brothers, Fred Filippi, Bill (Connie) Filippi; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Doris (John) Gellner, Fred (Mary) Bollinger; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
Rich served in the Navy during the Korean War. He had many friends with which he enjoyed OSU games, fishing and hunting trips, golf and cards.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, December 4, 2015, 10-11 AM at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4501 Hoover Road, Grove City, OH 43123 with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the church.
Interment will follow at Grove City, Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice, 6150 E Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213 or Alzheimer's Association, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.
