Rick Blankenship, 69, of Orient, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025
Rick was born November 2, 1955, to Clinton and Bonnie (Caudill) Blankenship.
Rick was an avid bowler and fisherman in the past and big sports fan. He loved Ohio State, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds. Rick also enjoyed watching and attending any sports that his grandchildren participated in, and spending time with family.
Rick was married to Brenda (Nye) Blankenship for 48 years and will be deeply missed by his wife and children Jason (Angie) Blankenship and Jennifer (Chad) Reber. Along with grandchildren - Dylan Chaney, Nate White, Kara Chaney, Ryan Reber, Ally Blankenship, Jack Reber, Olivia Reber and Jet Blankenship. Great Grandson – Lennon Chaney.
Survived by Mother Bonnie Blankenship, Brother David (Robin) Blankenship, Sister-in-law Kara (Kendall) Smith, Melissa (Anthony) Thomas, Brother-in-law Steven (Teri) Nye. Father-in-law James Nye, Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in Death by Father, Clinton Blankenship, Brother Michael Blankenship, Mother-in-law Sue Nye. Grandparents Robert and Emma Blankenship and Alvin and Pearly Caudill.
Visitation Wednesday, May 28, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
The family will hold a private burial at Grove City West Cemetery, at a future date.
In lieu of flowers a Memorial contribution may be made to Grove City High School Athletic Boosters.
