Rita A. Compton

Rita Anne Compton, 78, passed away on October 10, 2022. She was born in Columbus, OH to the late Paul and Vivian Compton. She was a long-time resident of Worthington, Ohio where she raised her family.

Rita worked for over 20 years at Nationwide Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Neurosurgery department. She enjoyed her job a great deal but not as much as her roles of Mom and Grandma. She loved to spend time with her family, read, bake, and watch any sport available especially if it involved her beloved Buckeyes.

Survivors include Rita's sons David (Kristine) Wickes, and Brad Wickes along with her grandchildren Alyssa and Drew Wickes, her brother David Compton, and her cousin/best friend Debbie Garling. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Ron Compton.

Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, October 15th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065.
