Robert "Jim" Garrett, 81, of Grove City, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at Mt. Carmel West.
He was born January 18, 1935 in Columbus, son of the late Robert Dehaven and Henrietta Munk Garrett.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Reba Davis Garrett.
He served in the Army and retired from Battelle with 30 years of service.
Jim was also a member of the Grove City Church of the Nazarene and also volunteered at Mt. Carmel West for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Neff Garrett; son, Steve Garrett; stepsons, Wayne (Margie) Thompson and Michael Thompson; stepdaughters, Belinda "Gail" Singleton, Marilyn (Tony) McHale and Donita Toth; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Rd. Grove City.
Funeral service will be Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the church, with visitation one hour prior to services.
Interment will be in Concord Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Grove City Church of the Nazarene.
Jim had a wonderful sense of humor and love for his family.
He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
