Robert R. Henslee (Bob) has gone to paradise on Friday evening October 02, 2020 surrounded by the love of family in the care of Kobacker House. Born February 27, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to Norman George and Glendola Taylor Henslee. Bob became a recent resident of Westerville, Ohio, residing the previous 43 years in Grandview Heights, and living his youth throughout Columbus, Ohio,
Bob was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a proud veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. A dedicated and loyal worker he had a long career as a sales Delivery Driver for Hi-State beverage Company, in later years serving at Wellington Schools, and retiring from Grandview Heights Schools. He touched many other lives as he enjoyed the camaraderie of participating on many Softball, Baseball, and Bowling teams.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Donna Faye Henslee, brothers Norbert "Norm" Henslee (Ilene), Paul William "Bill" Wonderly, and sister Edna Henslee Bowens. He is survived by wife Maureen Moore Henslee. Children: Robert Henslee Jr, Robby Henslee, Barbara Henslee, Cindy Williamson (Richard), Jeff Henslee (Tonya), Jenny Henslee Garrett (Robert Day) , and Daniel Henslee (Jen). Grandchildren: Amy, Andrew, Christy, Stacy, Mike, Chad, Kevin, Jennifer, Shawna, Cindy, Kaylan, Zak, Bria, Kyler, Logan, and Mason. Brothers: Richard Mohler (Gail), Norman Gene Henslee (Norma), and Roger Henslee (Joanne). Sisters: Anna Henslee Swackhammer (Doug), and Dianne Vannoy Thompson (John). Many Great Grandchildren, Niece, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
His optimism, smile, sense of humor, and love of family will be dearly missed until we meet again.
Due to the covid pandemic we are foregoing funeral home viewing hours and services. We ask that each of you celebrate his life in your own special way by sharing your memories. Thank you all for the love and friendship you have shared with Bob over the years.
