Robert Lee Kirk

Robert Lee “Bob” Kirk of Columbus, Ohio fondly known as Woody was born on December 30, 1957, in Williamson WV passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday August 14, 2026, at the age of 68 after a courageous year long battle with metastatic cancer.

He retired from HFI, Canal Winchester, Ohio, where he had been employed for over 25 years. He graduated in 1976 from Marion Franklin High School, Columbus, Ohio. 

Bob enjoyed playing his guitar, karaoke, dancing, playing cards, NASCAR, baseball and spending time with his family. 

Preceded in death by parents, Willis and Lucille Kirk and sister Lue Hardy. Bob is survived by his sisters Linda (Richard) Lane of Grove City and Glenda Kirk of Columbus.his brother Willis (Theresa) Kirk of Groveport, Nephew Geoff (Erin) Hamilton and nieces Brandy (Brad) Dickson and Taylor Hardy, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and over seventy first cousins. 

He was a quiet loving man with a big heart and few words.

He will be deeply missed by all.

Family will welcome friends and loved ones on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Memorial service will begin at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Rick Rucker officiating. After service join us for a light dinner and joyful celebration of Bob’s life at The Courtyards of Beulah Park Clubhouse, 3714 Quarter Pole Lane Grove City, OH 43123.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Compassus Hospice of Central Ohio.
