Robert M. Wilson

Robert M. Wilson, 97 of Dublin, formerly of Newark, OH, passed away at Glenwood Alzheimer's Care on July 26, 2016. Born on January 26, 1919 to the late Stanley Wilson and Alberta (Prior) Ritts in Connorsville, IN. Retried from PNC, former First National Bank, Newark, OH, member of the Library Board where he had held the position of Clerk and Treasurer. Member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Elks Club, Newark Lodge #97 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Gold Card Member of SCORE, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Licking County Shrine Club, Newark Maennerchor, and Order of Demolay. Survived by daughter's Sara (Gene Stevenson) Smith, Beth (Jeff) Hershey and Cynthia (Ron) Flowers, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sisters Margaret Carey and Nancy Wentworth, several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife Phyllis (Schenk) Wilson, son Robert M. Wilson Jr., step-father Willis Ritts, step-mother Hazel Wilson, brothers William Keith Wilson and John Wilson, father-in-law Rudolph Schenk and mother-in-law Kathryn Schenk. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Chapel Grove, Heath, OH, Brookdale Muirfield, Dublin, OH and Glenwood Alzheimer's Care Facility, Dublin, OH for all the care and support they showed over the years.

Friends may call at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 5478 Brand Rd., Dublin, OH 43017 on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 10am until time of service at 11am with Pastor John Morris and Pastor William Rauch officiating.

Graveside service will be held at 2pm on Monday at Newark Memorial Gardens, Newark, OH.
