February 20, 1925 — December 19, 2016
Robert Lee May, 91, passed away Dec. 19, 2016, in his home surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by parents, Elca and Alberta May; siblings, Eugene May, Carl May, and Wanda Peach; grandchildren, Stacey May, Christina (Johnny), and Landon Anderson.
Robert is survived by wife, Lorena May; children, Deborah (Marvin) Montenaro, Robert (Tina) May, Shelia (Gary) Maynard; Michael (Karri) May, Russell (Terri) May; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Robert was a proud veteran of WWII, where he earned several medals, including 3 purple hearts, 5 bronze stars, 1 silver star, medal of honor and a POW where he rescued 5 other soldiers.
Visitation Friday, Dec. 23, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016 at 10 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
