Robert "Shaka" McNair, 70, transitioned on Jan. 7, 2019.
He was preceded in death by mother, Helen Carroll and father, Coleman McNair.
Shaka is survived by wife of 37 years, Afatamah McNair; children, Kelly Reed, Michael Porter, Rochon McNair, Nicole (Chris) Rush, Tia Cowan, Curtis (Yodit) Denham, Lavon Thomas, Charles Thomas, Keith Denham, Kevin (Najiyyah) Denham, Kito Denham, and Winnona (Tim) Morrow; grandchildren, Tiffany Reed and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Eugene Peter (Kathleen) Carroll, Stephanie (Jonathan) Lowe, and Patricia (Marlon) Walker; along with many other family and friends.
Shaka served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was Chief and an artist in the African community.
Visitation Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019 from 10:30am-12:30pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with Funeral beginning at 12:30pm. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Afatamah during this difficult time.
