Robert C. Smith I, age 74, of Grove City passed away peacefully in his home Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Margaret Smith.
He was a graduate of Sunny Slope High School in Phoenix, Arizona.
He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp., a Vietnam Veteran and a member of Moose Lodge and VFW.
Bob retired from Columbus Showcase but also worked 27 years at Lennox.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Rosalie Cheryl Smith; children Shauna (Merlin) Smith, Steve Beres, Robert C. (Nikki) Smith II, Katie (Brad) Wicke, Traci Maier, Dave Perkins, Ken (Regina) Perkins, Cheryl (Tom) Hurley, and Mark (Elaine) Perkins; siblings, Greg (Virgie) Smith, Shenandoah (Michael) Smith, Daniel Smith; grandchildren, Michael (Christine) Beres, Chris Beres, Kaite Beres, Holleigh (Shawn) Hackett, Robert Smith III, Madisyn Smith, Tyler (Morgan) Wickie, Justin Verhoff, Jessica Verhoff, John Perkins Sr., Cody (Sam) Krieger, Katie (Josh) Kirkbride, Lindsey Krebs, Steve Dowler, Katelyn Hurley, Peyton Perkins, Katelyn Perkins and many great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Bob will be greatly missed by all.
Per Bob's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
