Robert Leo Starr, age 87, died Nov. 24, 2018.
Born in Butler, PA, he lived in Columbus, OH most of his life. A graduate of Canton Township High School, he then attended Kent University. Robert was a carpenter for Local 200 for 30 years before retiring. He was a Korean War Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mildred Oster Starr; sister, Rita Gerzina; brothers, Raymond and Donald Starr; and son, Joseph Brian Starr.
He is survived by loving wife of 32 years, Ruth Elliott Starr; children, Susan Phelps, Brian Starr, and Sandy (Wilbur) McKenzie; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Starr of Butler, PA; sister, Barbara Oesterling of Butler, PA; and sister-in-law, Pat Starr of Canton, OH.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 from 1pm to 4pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, with Funeral Service beginning at 4pm. Rev. Howard W. Cameron III officiating. Burial will held privately at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Grayson, KY.
