Robert V. Griffin Sr.

Robert V. Griffin Sr., 82, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 in Westerville, Ohio. Robert was born on March 12, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to Lowell and Neva Griffin.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; wife, June Griffin; and brothers, Lowell Jr. and Roy Griffin.
He is survived by his sons, Robert (Chris) Griffin, Randy (Joan) Griffin, Jeffrey (Kim) Griffin; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
Robert retired from Columbus Coated Fabrics (Borden) after more than 30 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and was an assistant Scout Master for Troop 80 for 47 years. Robert was a very loving husband and father, and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231 followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local chapter of Boy Scouts of America, 807 Kinnear Rd. Columbus, OH 43212 in Robert's honor. Please leave a message of condolence for the family during this difficult time.
