Robert W. Mcneely

Robert W. McNeely, 93, passed triumphantly into the arms of Jesus on July 8, 2014. He was born on May 20, 1921.
Robert served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served as a pastor to six congregations in his 40 years as a minister, the last 25 years for the Mt. Sterling congregation. For 40 years, Robert also served as a substitute teacher for the Madison Plains and Grove City Christian Schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary McNeely, siblings, Russell McNeely, Mildred Johnson, Erwin McNeely.
Surviving family includes wife, Florence, son, David (Tina) McNeely, granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Kristen and close nephew, Alan McNeely.
Visitation will be held from 4-8pm, Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Mt. Sterling First Church of the Nazarene, 226 N. Market Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143. A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Sterling, OH. Memorial donations may be directed to the church.
