Roberta M Schaeffer

Roberta M. Schaeffer, age 83 of Columbus, passed away on September 25, 2018. She was born on June 26, 1935 to the late Ray and Ora Belle (Woode) Schaeffer in Athens, OH. She graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1953, worked for The Ohio State University as an Administrative Assistant for the College of Education for 35 years, retiring in 1987. Roberta is survived by twin brother Robert L (Sandy Landrum) Schaeffer of Gahanna, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brother Raymond Schaeffer, sisters Margaret (Frank) Sanborn and Mary Lucille (Charlie) Ries. She will be lovingly remembered by her friends. Roberta was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Football fan.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 4pm until time of service at 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be directed to Heartland of Westerville & Heartland Hospice Care or to Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute of The Ohio State University.
