Rod Forrest Lawhorn, 49, of Hilliard, departed this life Monday, December 22, 2014 at his residence.
He was born July 12, 1965 in Springfield, son of the late Roy Lawhorn and Emma Janice Crabtree.
In addition to his parents, Rod was preceded in death his brother, Clyde Lawhorn. Rod was a Registered Nurse for many years.
He is survived by his brothers, Stephen (Kathy) Lawhorn and Roy W. Lawhorn; sisters, Paula Freeburg and Kathy Ott; many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and beloved dog, Mishu.
Celebration of life will be Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Northwest United Methodist Church, 5200 Riverside Dr. Columbus, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mid Ohio Food Bank, 3960 Brookham Dr. Grove City, OH 43123.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
