Roger Brown, Sr.
November 14, 1919 — August 9, 2013
Roger C. Brown, Sr., 93 of Grove City, passed away at Mt. Carmel West Hospital on Friday, August 9, 2013. Born on November 14, 1919 to the late Joseph and Jennie (Connelly) Brown in Brownfield, PA. Roger served his country during WWII.
Survived by sons Joe (Teri) Brown, Roger Brown Jr., John (Linda) Brown, daughters Judy (James) Halley, Joyce (Mike) Jennings, Debbie Messer, sister Eva Mayer, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by brothers Joseph, William and John, sisters Ellen, Kathleen, Emma, granddaughter Jody Wilkins and Debbie Rodgers (Halley), daughter-in-law Marla Brown. He will be missed by all his friends at the Candlestick.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 6 to 8pm.
Funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home at 1pm with Pastor Tim Womack officiating.
Burial to follow at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude's Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
