Roger Hawk
May 2, 1939 — March 24, 2015
Roger Hawk of Grove City, Ohio, a loving and devoted father and husband passed away suddenly on Tuesday March 24, 2015. Roger was born May 2, 1939, in Chillicothe, Ohio, and was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. Roger retired from the Carpenters Union Local 200 and the Battelle Memorial Institute.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Esta Hawk and two sisters Donna Smith and Cathy Hawk
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen Hawk, children Kim (Mike) Taylor, Tony (Chavona) Hawk, Andrea (Steve) Geiger, 8 grandchildren, Cory (Ashley) Taylor, Camron Taylor, Nathan Hawk, Nick Hawk, Noah Hawk, Max Geiger, Loren Geiger and Kara Geiger.
Roger and Karen enjoyed many winters in beautiful Palmetto, Florida, spending time with friends, golfing, biking and kayaking.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Roger's church in Florida, Suncoast Baptist Church and School,1816 10th St. West Palmetto, FL 34221.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5 to 8pm. Funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home at 10 am with Pastor Jerry Neal officiating.
Burial to follow at Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville, Ohio.
