Roger W. Scheurell

August 14, 1924 — November 2, 2014

Roger W. Scheurell, 90, Whitehall, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Roger was born in Manitowac, WI on August 14, 1924, to William and Ervine (Simono) Scheurell and is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Ronald Scheurell and Roger W. Scheurell, Jr; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ada (Wulliver) Scheurell; daughters, Marilyn Scheurell and Catherine (Jim) Nelson; sons, Thomas (Rosie), Anthony (Cheryl) and Danny (Alana) Scheurell; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. Roger served proudly during WWII in the US Navy.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, November 6, 2014, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 7, 2014, 11:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4383 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213. Father William Arnold will officiate.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
