Ron Featherston

Ronald L. Featherston born in Columbus, Ohio June 24, 1943 went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2016 after enduring a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Long-time resident of the Hilltop area, member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as a trustee for many years. Served in the Ohio National Guard for six years. First a self-employed painter and then retired from Columbus Board of Education as a painter after 34 years.

Preceded in death by parents, Thomas Featherston and Opal Featherston McClain; brothers and sisters in law, brothers, Otis (Gladys) Boggs, Eugene (Mickey) Featherstone; and niece, Holly Featherstone.

Survived by wife of 50 years, Joyce; daughter, Annette (Timothy) McKnight; granddaughter, Maleia McKnight; grandson, Aaron McKnight; aunts, Ann and Lillian Pinnell; many cousins, and special friends, Phil and Carlene Starcher.

Visitation Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Friday, March 4, 2016 at 10 am at the Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn Perry officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
